Steven Dukes

Steven Dukes, age 49, of Fairmount, passed away at 1:15 pm on Sunday, April 1, 2007 at his home. He was born on July 23, 1957 the son of Ernest Gene and Mary Ruth (Cox) Dukes. He married Jamie Truskosky on October 19, 1985 in Oakwood. She survives. Steven is also survived by his parents of Kingman, IN; Three brothers: Larry (Chris) Dukes of Creswell, OR, Ben (Karen) Dukes of Kingman, IN, Brad (Darla) Dukes of Kingman, IN; one sister: Karen Sue Nelson of Covington, IN; and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Steven attended Oakwood Schools and also attended classes at DACC in small engine repair. He worked as a union laborer for Local Union # 624 and later for Local #703. Steven was a mechanic who liked doing body work on vehicles. He enjoyed snowmobiling and remote control cars. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
