Cayuga, Ind. -- Steven Douglas Beam, 43, of Cayuga, passed away at 9:20 a.m. EST Wednesday (November 15, 2006) at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born April 19, 1963, in Indianapolis, the son of Louis D. Beam and Wanda L. LeFevers. Survivors include his father and stepmother: Louis(Janice)Beam of Cayuga, Indiana; his mother: Wanda L. LeFevers of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers: Louis Beam of Indianapolis, Indiana and Paul Richard(Christal)Beam of Whiteland, Indiana; Special Friend: Patricia Holsapple of Clinton, Indiana; three step sisters: Gina(Kevin)Collins, Tara Shively and Windy(Joey)Cheatham all of Cayuga, Indiana; one step brother: Tony(Diana)Dixon of West Terre Haute, Indiana and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Steven was currently working as a carpenter for CLCJ Construction in West Terre Haute, Indiana. He received his Bachelors Degree in Criminology from Indiana State University in the Spring of 2006 and was currently working on his Masters Degree in Criminology from I.S.U. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EST Sunday, November 19, 2006 at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Andy Spencer; Burial: Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EST Saturday, November 18, 2006 at the funeral home.
