Steve M. Allison

Steve Allison, 55, of Covington IN, formerly of Danville passed away at 12:18 PM on December 11, 2011 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Steve was born on March 10, 1956 in Danville the son of Charles O. and Elsie (Wilson) Allison. He is survived by one daughter-Crystal (J.C.) Taff of Pine Village, IN, one son-Jason (Jennalee Stark) Allison of Danville, one sister- Sue (Dan) Whitaker of Covington, IN, one niece Tammy Whitaker of Danville, one great-niece- Ciara DeMotte of Danville, three grandchildren- Haylie Marie Armstrong, Jaida Stark and Jeremy Stark, also one baby girl due in January, Julianna Allison. He was preceded in death by his parents. Steve graduated from Danville High in 1974. He was a machinist at Modern Machine Shop before owning his own construction company for many years and most recently he was a service worker at Purdue University. He loved spoiling his children and grandchildren, grilling at special events with his cooker trailer, wood working with family, collecting guns, knives and coins. A Celebration of Steve's life will be held on Thursday December 15, 2011 at 10 AM Central Standard time at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville with Pastor Sid Payne officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday December 14, 2011 from 4-7 PM Central Standard time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck, IL. Memorials can be made in Steve's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
