Stephen Floyd Blaker

Today, July 3, 2022, Heaven opened the gates to welcome home and celebrate a warrior; Stephen Floyd Blaker.

Stephen was born on December 2, 1951 to Floyd and Pauline Blaker a bouncing baby boy.

Ornery and full of life at 18 months, his favorite candy was red licorice, and his favorite record was "Red Piano Boogie" which he danced to. Then he got polio encephalitis with a high fever and was not expected to live to be 3 years old, but many times fought to live. He lived the rest of his life with his loving family like a 3-month-old baby.

Stephen left behind his sister, Brenda (Larry) Trimble, nephews Rick Trimble, Rob Trimble, great niece, Denise Block, great nephews, Dalton Trimble and Raymond Block as well as several great great-nieces and great great-nephews.

Stephen was preceded in death by his mother and father, a niece, Stephanie Block, a nephew Mike Trimble and great nephews, Timothy and Steven Block.

Stephens sweet smile and spirit will truly be missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Pastor Joe Humrichous will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 9-10:00 AM at the funeral home.
