Stephen Darrell Kight

Stephen Darrell Kight, 67, passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2018, at his home in rural Covington. He was born on January 10, 1951, in Williamsport, IN, to Darrell and Barb {Lanham} Kight. He was united in marriage to Roxanne Robertson in April of 2012. She will miss him dearly. Stephen will also be missed by: his mother, Barb; his children, Bryon & Shawn Kight of West Lebanon; his several grandchildren; his step-son, Ted (Amber) Robertson of Clinton, IN, whom he shared their love of racing; and a special step-grandson, Colton; his sisters, Patti (Wayne) Whittington of Kingman, IN, and Lori (Stan) Rife of Ridge Farm, IL; many nieces & nephews; his mother-in-law, Carolyn Estock of Cayuga; his father-in-law, Melvin Rose of Cayuga, IN; and his good friends, Bob Fellows & Mike Knight, as well as many friends too numerous to count. He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell. Stephen graduated from Attica High School in 1969 and worked at Hyster/NACCO for 49 years. He was known for his quick wit and his love for his family. A celebration of Stephen's life will be held at 7:00pm (est), Friday, July 20, 2018, at Sunset's Covington Chapel, 420 3rd St, Covington, IN with Pastor John Goldfuss & Pastor Wade Martin officiating. His visitation will be 4:00pm to 7:00pm (est) on Friday prior to his service at the funeral home. As per his wishes, he will be cremated.
