Stephanie Carnaghi

Stephanie Jane Winland Carnaghi, 51, passed away, June 11, 2015 in Terre Haute, In. She was born October 9, 1963 in Danville, Il, the daughter of Robert and Geraldine (Pettigrew) Winland who survive her. She will be greatly missed by her dear Special Companion, Paul Lambert; her loving daughter, Sara (Brandon Crawford) Carnaghi, her brothers, Steve Winland, Stuart (Michelle) Winland; her aunts and uncles, Mary Ann and Pat Pettigrew, Sally Strahl, Jim (Marylin) Pettigrew, Dorothy Schingel, Tom (Evie) Pettigrew; her cherished grandchildren, Chase and Chance Crawford, Nia and Brandon Crawford Jr.; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her uncles, Jack Strahl, Bill Schingel, John Pettigrew Jr., and an aunt, Elizabeth Shannon. Stephanie attended St. Patrick's Grade School and Cannon School. She Graduated from Danville High School in 1980. She was occupied with woodworking, welding, and she owned/operated Carpenter's Wrecker Service, a division of Carnaghi Towing and Repair. Stephanie enjoyed sewing, spending time on her houseboat fishing, enjoyed vacationing and traveling somewhere new always. She was very generous, on holdiays she would pay for other people's groceries or gifts, donated her time and effort help anyone, anytime, anywhere. She was past commodore of Danville Boat Club, enjoyed attending her daughter, Sara's events, loved animals, her Corvette car, loved nature, country and the outdoors. A celebration of life service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, Il 61834. Visitation from 3 - 6 p.m., Sunday June 14, and funeral service with Fr. Dennis O'Riley officiating, Monday, June 15, at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Stephanie's name to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
