Stella Eileen Cox

Stella Eileen Cox, 84 of Danville, formerly of Rossville, IL, passed this Life at 12:58pm EDT, on Friday, May 21, 2010 at Indiana University in Indianapolis. She was born in Rossville on September 8, 1925, the daughter of Aaron Estel and Elva (Bray) Yaden. She married Clarence Cox on December 25, 1946 and celebrated 63 years of marriage until his passing on May 31, 2000. Stella is survived by her five children, Sharon Tondini of Glendale, AZ, Elsie LeLoup of Danville, Carol (Terry) Koebrich of Danville, Connie (Robert) Jones of Royalton, IL, and her son, Ronald (Phyllis) Cox of Danville. Her 13 grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, two sisters, Dorothy Lawson of Rantoul, Kathleen (Roland) Schroder of Indianapolis, IN, her sister-in-law, Beverly Yaden of Hoopeston and several nieces and nephews also survive her. Her parents, husband Clarence, two brothers, two sisters, one daughter, one grandson, and two granddaughters preceded Stella in death. She attended Henning School, and later worked at the former Windbreakers Danville Factory for several years running a pattern press. She spent the Midwest winters in Florida for almost 30 years and enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, cooking for family and square dancing with the Frontier Twirlers in her younger years. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. A Celebration of Stella Eileen Coxs Life is scheduled for 10:00am on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center located at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville with internment to be held at the Rossville Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Pastor James Blue. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-8pm on Monday, May 24, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorial contribution may be made in Stellas name to the American Cancer Society.
