Stanley Urbanski

Rossville - Stanley Edward Urbanski, 73, of Rossville passed away in his home at 11:05 AM on September 9, 2014. He was born August 9, 1941 to Leo and Julia Urbanski Vanderpoorten. He married Sharon Gray with whom he had three children. She preceded him in death. He later married Connie Lathrop, who also preceded him in death. Surviving Stanley are three children, Shannin Sloan of Rossville, Richell (Jerry) Vaughn of Noblesville, IN and Shane (Heather) Urbanski of Rossville; one brother, Robert Urbanski of Huntsville, AL; two sisters, Marie Lazzell of Danville, IL and Norma Rich of Chrisman, IL; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; In addition to his wives, Stanley was preceded in death by one brother; one sister; parents and a grandchild. Stanley had worked at Combustion Engineering, later retiring from ABB as a welder. He enjoyed bowling and fishing. A celebration of Stanleys life will begin Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, IL. Pastor Jack Lazzell will officiate. A visitation will be held prior from 12:30 to 2 PM Saturday. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
