Georgetown- Stanley Ray Newell, 24, of Georgetown passed away at 8:17 PM on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. He was born on April 1, 1990 in Danville. He is survived by his parents, Shawn Nichols of Georgetown, Roger Ray (Deana) Newell of Westville, and Stanley Victor(Rhonda) Orndorff of Danville; three brothers, Evan and Preston Nichols and Joshua Hoskins; three sisters, Brandi Newell and Danielle (Kevin) Moore and Samantha Towler; grandparents, Van and Donna Lawver; three uncles, Brad (Dawn) Lawver and family, Van (Jennie) Lawver and family, and Eric (Cathy) Zimmer and family; and aunts Valerie Shelton, Penny (Mike Sams) Swider, Chris (Richard) Reich, and Connie (Herman) Morris. He was preceded in death by his grandma, Sheryl Lawrence, grandma Myrtle Newell, grandpa Haven Newell, and uncle Walter Newell. Stanley loved spending time with his friends and living his life free. A memorial visitation for Stanley Newell will be held from 4-8 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown. Cremation rites will be accorded.
