Stanley M. Coole

Rantoul – Stanley “Stan” M. Coole, 58, of Rantoul passed away at 5:15 AM on Sunday, March 15, 2027, at Accolade Healthcare of Danville. He was born on August 25, 1967, in Salamanca, NY to James Coole and Bonnie (Conklin) Owens.

Stan is survived by his significant other, Lisa Arnold of Rantoul; four children, Nick Coole, Chelsea Colvin, Taylor Coole, and Tori Coole; half-brother, Billy (Mary) Owens; and stepfather, Jim Owens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Stanley and Anna Coole, and a brother.

After high school, Stan proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army. Most recently, he worked as a laser operator at Flex n’ Gate in Rantoul. Stan remained employed there until his health no longer allowed him to work. He also attended Christian Life Church in Rantoul and loved his church and church family who offered him support. Despite his struggles, Stan loved God and kept his faith.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Stanley “Stan” Coole will be held at 10 AM on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Danville National Cemetery in Danville, IL where he will be laid to rest. American Legion Post #210 will perform military honors. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements.
