Stanley J. Clark, 83, of Covington passed away on January 9, 2025 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel, Indiana. He was born in Danville, Illinois on March 30, 1941 to the late Donald and Marjorie (Millikin) Clark. Growing up, Stanley attended Cayuga High School and furthered his education at Indiana State University. He married Janet Terry on February 17, 1961 and they spent nearly 64 wonderful years together before his passing.
Stanley was an entrepreneur in the retail and wholesale gas and oil business. He was a member of the NRA and a true gun enthusiast. He enjoyed shooting with his friends and would spend many days customizing his guns. He was an elder and devoted member of the Cayuga Christian Church. He was not only very active in the Church, but in his community as well. More than anything, Stanley loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He particularly enjoyed cheering them on in their various activities throughout the years.
In addition to his wife Janet Clark of Covington, he is survived by his sons Jeff Clark also of Covington and Mark Clark of Nashville, Tennessee; his grandchildren Ethan & spouse Miranda Dowers Clark, Aubrey & spouse Seth Vicars, Lucas & spouse Jill Lawrence Clark; and great-grandchildren Carter Vicars and Jane Clark. He also leaves behind his siblings Jon Clark and Constance Beardsley; sister-in-law Joyce Clark; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Albert Clark, grandson Lane Clark, and sister-in-law Mary Helen Clark.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 3 – 5pm at the Cayuga Christian Church Youth Center, located at 406 S. Logan Street in Cayuga, Indiana. A memorial service celebrating his life will follow that evening at 5 pm with Pastor Kurt Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made in his honor to the Cayuga Christian Church.
