Stanley Beard, Jr

Stanley Beard, Jr. 85, of Danville, IL went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 5:31 PM on July 8, 2026 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

Stanley was born on December 12, 1940 the son of James Stanley and Maxine Coletta (Wallace) Beard in Clinton, IN. He married Deloris P. Thomas on June 2, 1962 in Clinton, IN and she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Deloris Beard of Danville, IL, his children, Paula (Richard) Beatty of Danville, IL, Stanley Clifford (Lori) Beard of Marengo, IN, and Teresa (Frank) Lowell of Chenoa, IL, his grandchildren, Daina Zucca, Ashley Beard, Amy (David) Russell, Rebecca Anderson, Ceanna Harris and Logan Harris, his great grandchildren, Harold Anthony Zucca, Brant Allen Zucca, Reece Olivia Blue, Sobree Anderson, Serenity Anderson, and Malachi Russell. Stanley is also survived by his siblings, Sharon Fatch, Margaret Bush and Donnie Joe (Joann) Beard as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Wanda Lee Skinner and brothers-in-law, Bob Fatch and Joe Bush.

Stanley is a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Covington where he was very active in his church. Over the years he taught Sunday School classes for a variety of age groups and led a Prayer Partner Group for many years. In his younger years he enjoyed playing softball, woodworking, hunting, farming, and tending to his garden. He also enjoyed camping and fishing with his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM (Eastern Standard Time) on Monday, July 13, 2026 at First Assembly of God Church Covington, Indiana, 421 Market Street Covington, Indiana 47932. Pastor Bob Fairchild will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Danville, IL. Visitation will be held from 3-5:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time) on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at the church.
