Stacy Van Hearnley

Stacy Van Hearnley Sr., 69, of Bismarck, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, February 26th, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Stacy was born on September 19th, 1942, in Danville, the son of Howard Harrison "Boots" and Valeria Pearl (Hinton) Hearnley. He married Carol D. Dodge on August 7th, 1966, in Danville. She preceded him in death on February 25th, 2011. He is survived by two sons- Stacy (Jacinda) Hearnley II and Chad (Maridith) Hearnley both of Danville; one brother- Gerald (Sally) Hearnley of Champaign; three sisters- June Cunningham, Imogene Beckley and Joanne ( Tony) Johnson all of Danville; five grandchildren- Emily Hearnley, Isabella Ridgway, Ethan Hearnley, Ian Hearnley and Raylynn Hearnley; sister-in-law- Shirley Colleen of Danville; close friend- Jim Beckley of Danville; several special nieces and nephews; and all of his close friends at the Bismarck Coffee Shop. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife-Carol D. Hearnley. Stacy attended Danville High School. He worked at Marty K's for several years as a manager. He was a member of Moose Lodge #1001 in Danville and attended the Bismarck Coffee Shop daily, where he enjoyed playing cards. He loved attending sports events and was an avid Bismarck/Henning athletics supporter. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He enjoyed going to new restaurants and trying new cuisines. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his friends and family. A Celebration of the life of Stacy Van Hearnley Sr. will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 1st, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, with Pastor Miles Clark officiating. Following the service he will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
