Stacey Smith

Catlin - Stacey L. Smith, 50, of Catlin passed away at 4:26 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on March 13, 1964 in Danville to Randy and Patricia (Clawson) Schultz. She married Jason Smith on April 15, 2012. He survives. Also surviving are three children, Dustin (Vanessa) Trosper of Catlin, Adam (Michelle) Trosper of Lisle, IL, and Marissa Trosper of Catlin; parents, Randy (Vicki) Schultz and Patricia (Kevin) Gerard; brother, Tim (Jamie) Schultz; a sister, Chris Anglemeyer; and her dog, Bentley. Stacey had most recently worked at Busey Bank in Champaign, but had also been with Thyssen Krupp, the City of Danville, and the Beef House where she worked for 15 years. She enjoyed reading, playing pool, baking, and watching baseball, especially the Boston Red Sox. Stacey also loved to travel and spend time on the beach. A private service for family and close friends to celebrate the life of Stacey Smith will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Doug Hummer will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Sunday, January 18, also at Sunset in Danville.
