Stacey Key

Stacey M. Key, 38, of Georgetown, passed away at 9:21am, Monday, April 12, 2010, at her home. She was born on August 9, 1971, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Michael and Penny {Cook} McBroom. She was married to Brett Key on September 27, 1997, in Ridge Farm, IL. He will miss her dearly. Other survivors include: her mother, Penny Snoke of Effingham, IL; her father, Michael McBroom of San Diego, CA; her step-daughters, Kacey & Katey Arnett of Westville; her step-son, Tyler Key of Georgetown; her brother, Larry McBroom of Mesa AZ; her sisters, Amy (Nick) Gonzales of Mesa, AZ, Brittany McBroom of Mesa AZ, & Jamee Thomas of Effingham, IL; her step-mother Lisa Zielinski of Mesa, AZ; her mother-in-law, Nancy Key; her father-in-law, Robert Key of Sidell; her sister-in-law, Amy (Sam Fourez) Key of Oakwood, IL; her numerous nieces & nephews; and her best friend, Arthetta Broom of Danville, IL. She was preceded in death by: her paternal grandparents, Marvin & Phyllis McBroom, and her maternal grandparents, Jerry & Ella White. Stacey loved to play Sudoko and really enjoyed babysitting her niece, Jordyn. She will be missed by those who loved her. A celebration of Staceys life will be held at 11:00am, Monday, April 19, 2010, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown. Phil Miller will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 2pm to 6pm, Sunday, April 18, 2010, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in Staceys name to American Kidney Foundation or Breast Cancer Research.
