Sophia Larrance

RIDGE FARM - Sophia M. Larrance, 87, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 1:45am on Friday, July 7th, 2006, at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village. She was born on December 15th, 1918, the daughter of George and Bertha (Julius) Hedges in Lynn Gove, IA. She was united in marriage to Earl Pat Larrance on November 11th, 1944, in Danville. He preceded Sophia in death in February 1994. Survivors include: her three nieces, Gwen (Jerry) Price of Gravious Mills, MO, Gayle (Gene) Spesard, Indianola, & Nita (Deane) Winkler of Indianola; her nephew, Dale (Mona) McCallister of Chandler, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother. Sophia was a member of the Ridge Farm United Methodist Church where she was the organist and pianist for many years. She belonged to the Ridge Farm Womens Club and Home Bureau. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. A celebration of Sophias life will be at 11:00am on Monday, July 10th, 2006, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home. Pastor Jennie Chin will officiate. Visitation will be 10am to 11am on Monday before the service. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola.
