Sidney Crawford

Danville Sidney Crawford, 67, of Danville passed away at his home on June 29, 2023 at 3:14 PM.

Sidney was born on June 29, 1956 the son of Arthur and Lena (Owens) Crawford in Danville, IL. He married Diane Marie Anders on October 13, 1979 in Danville, IL and she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Crawford, his sons, Cory Crawford of Libertyville, IL and Aaron (Michelle) Crawford of Danville, IL, his five grandchildren, Lydia, Mackenzie, Haley, Emerson and Willow, his two siblings, Doris (Don) Songer of Richardton, ND and Connie (Eric) Johnson of Potomac, IL as well as his cat, "Pumpkin".

Sidney is preceded in death by his parents and an infant sibling.

Sidney was a member of IBEW Local 51 and retired as a Tree Trimmer for the utility companies. He enjoyed watching Westerns, Hallmark "When Calls the Heart" movies with his wife, listening to music, and spending time enjoying nature. Most of all, Sidney loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and would do anything for them.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Miles Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
