Shirley Trede, 84, formerly of Indianola, IL, passed away at 3:05 PM, Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman, IL. She was born in Indianola on August 4, 1924, the daughter of Orville & Jennie (Peters) Mosier. She was a graduate of Indianola High School. On October 17, 1942, she married John Baldwin of Indianola and from that marriage was born Vicki (Ray) High of Indianola and John (Pamela) Baldwin II of Greenville, SC. Later, on April 16, 1971, she married Orville Trede of Danville. Shirley is survived by her two children; five grandchildren, Teresa Fourez of Oakwood, IL, Todd (Wanda) High of Washington, IL, Tracie (Randy) Oney of Clermont, FL, Jennifer Baldwin of Atlanta, GA, and John Baldwin III of Greenville, SC; seven great grandchildren, Jami Fourez of Gurnee, IL, Juli Fourez of Urbana, IL, Rebecca High of St. Louis, MO, Derek High of Washington, IL, Skylar, Kaitlyn and Nicholas Oney of Clermont, FL; one great-great grand child, Brody Taflinger of Urbana, IL. Also surviving are sisters Lulabelle (Robert) Shrout and Barbara Mosier and brother Orville (Linda) Mosier Jr.; four sisters-in-law, Helen Baldwin, LaVern Ebers, Viola Rapp, Margaret Corse; brothers-in-law Wade Williams and Robert Hale; and two special childhood and life long friends, Mary Dudley & Harry Bennett. She was preceded by her parents, both husbands, sisters Beverly Acord, Amber Williams and Sharon Coburn and brother Robert Mosier Sr.She was employed by General Electric in Danville, IL for 33 years and was also co-owner of Baldwins Caf(c) in Indianola for many years. She was an avid reader of Old English poetry, enjoyed cross word puzzles and playing bingo with her friends at Pleasant Meadows. Gram greatly enjoyed celebrating the achievements of all of her grandchildren, and sharing with them her incredible knowledge of Nursery Rhymes. She always enjoyed attending their sporting events and other activities.
