Shirley Ann Moody

Shirley Ann Moody, 80, of Westville, Illinois, passed away on Saturday August 15, 2026, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, Illinois. Shirley was born the daughter of John and Eunice (Priest) Zucca on December 21, 1945, in Danville, Illinois.

Shirley leaves behind her daughter Sue (Jason) Johnson, grandchildren; Ciara Johnson and Austin (Katie) Johnson great-grandchildren; Karmen Songer and Abel Johnson, two sisters and one brother.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Shirley was a nurse committed to her patients, who loved to help people in a time of need. She enjoyed a good book, doing a puzzle or traveling. Most of all the time she spent with her family was the greatest time for her.

A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at 1pm on Friday August 21, 2026, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center’s Urbas Chapel 414 South State Street Westville, Illinois, 61883. Pastor Matt Filicsky will be officiating. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, Illinois. Visitation will be from 11-1 prior to the service at the funeral home.
