Shirley Mae Sisney

MAHOMET - Shirley Mae Sisney, 60, of Mahomet passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Farmer City Rehab and Health Care Center in Farmer City. Born June 19, 1954 in Danville she was the daughter of Robert and Helen (Lewis) Setser. She married Bob Sisney on July 31, 1971 in Danville. Shirley was the Food Service Director for St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville for 25 years. She then worked for Vermilion Manor as the Food Service Director, where she retired from. She was a member of Church of God the Eternal. Shirley loved spending time with her grandkids, gardening, reading and taking care of others. She had a special place in her heart for her dog, Sasha. Shirley is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bob; two sons, Kevin (Angela) Sisney of Mahomet and Jeremiah (Bobbie) Sisney of Lake St. Louis, MO; one daughter, Jennifer (James) Morecraft of Indianapolis, IN; three brothers, Dale Setser of Danville, Earl (Lucy) Setser of Danville and Richard (Betty) Setser of Tilton; seven grandchildren, Jessica Sisney, Karey Sisney-Arnett, Hannah, Logan and Olivia Sisney, and Katelyn and Kyle Morecraft; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great friends. A visitation to celebrate Shirleys life will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6th at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Sunset Funeral Home following the visitation. Burial will be at a later date in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville. A memorial has been established for Farmer City Rehab and Health Care Center. The family would like to thank Kerry and Heather for their help in caring for Shirley while she was still able to live at home.
