Shirley Mae Galyen

Shirley Mae Galyen, 84, of Danville passed away at 5:30am on Tuesday January 14, 2020. She was born on January 23, 1935 the daughter of Charles and Garnet Barton.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Tracey Curry; son, Donald Ray (Jayne) Galyen Jr.; granddaughter, Kelsee (Cody Williams) Curry, Jody Phillips; grandson, Ron (Jessica Waddell) Curry II; great-grandchildren, Easton Williams, Lincoln Williams, Laikyn Williams, Dalton Williamson, Aaleyah Martin; brother, Ed (Judy) Barton; sisters-in-law, Pat Barton, Pat Barton, and Shirley Parke.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Donald Ray Galyen Sr.; parents; brothers, Joe Barton and Jim Barton.

Shirley graduated from Georgetown High School. She enjoyed sewing and playing with her dog, Coco. In her spare time, she could be found reading, painting or creating a stained glass picture or lamp. Shirley was a wonderful woman with a heart of gold who truly cared for her family and friends, she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Shirley will be cremated as per her wishes.
