Shirley J. Davidson

Shirley J. Davidson, 77, of Danville, passed away at 3:15am, Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Danville Care Center. She was born on June 4, 1936, the daughter of Ralph and Gladys {Burris} Hale, both deceased. She was married to Claude J. Davidson on July 14, 1997, in Chrisman, until his passing. Shirley was a graduate of Chrisman High School. She worked as bookkeeper for Bills Mower Shop for 30 years. She belonged to the Chrisman Church of the Nazarene and served as an officer in the Salvation Army Service Extension for ten years. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. She is will be missed by: her sons, David Chandler and Michael Chandler, both of Danville; her daughter, Linda (Andy) Yasitis of Huntsville, AL; her grandchildren, Amber (Chad) Wiski, Casey Yasitis, Kristin (David) Luna, & Joshua Chandler; her great grandchildren, Adam Wiski, Brody Wiski, & Kian Luna; and her Aunt, Lois (Paul) Hilderbrand. A celebration of Shirleys life will be held at10:30 am, Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown with Brother Lloyd Simpson officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm. Memorial donations may be given in her name to Chrisman Church of the Nazarene.
