Shirley Eileen Reynolds

Shirley Eileen Reynolds, 82, of Danville, formerly of Olivet passed away at 4:45am, Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Hawthorne Inn, Danville. She was born in Collison, IL, on May 3, 1936 the daughter of James and Eileen {Wynn} Greer. She was united in marriage to Bill Reynolds on May 28, 1954, in Collison until his passing May of 2015. Shirley will be missed by: her sons, Randy (LeeAnn) Reynolds & Mike (Helena) Reynolds; her daughter, Sandy (Walt) Starr; her brother, Jim (Carolyn) Greer; her sisters, Doris Kincaid, Rosemary (Bob) Bolton, & Diana (Rodney) Parrish; her grandchildren, Kyle (Jessica) Starr, Tony (Tara) Reynolds, Darin (Becky) Reynolds, & Lesli Reynolds; and her nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Bill; and her infant sister, Sharon. Shirley enjoyed raising her children and caring for her home. She also enjoyed swimming, bowling, and crafts. She was an avid Cubs fan. One of her favorite things was listening to her husband play his guitar. Shirley enjoyed being outside whether tending her veggie garden or camping. Above all, she loved being with her family and grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hawthorne Manor Court Nursing Staff and Carle Hospice Staff for the comfort and care they gave to Shirley and the family. A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at 2:30pm, Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West Street, Georgetown, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held 12:30pm to 2:30pm on Saturday prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville.
