Shirley Colleen, 76, of Bismarck passed away at Carle Foundation Hospital on February 26, 2015. Shirley was born the daughter of Clarence and Opal (Musson) Dodge on April 8, 1938 in Fithian, IL. She married Leonard Colleen on June 14, 1992 he preceded her in death. Surviving Shirley is one daughter Patti (Tim) Welker of Bismark; one step son Michael Colleen of Danville; one step daughter Nancy (Jessie) De Moss of Danville; one brother Sherman (Vivian) Dodge of Danville; one sister Jerilyn Maida and special friend Stephanie Olinger of Lakeland, FL.; two grandchildren Kristen (Brandon) Card and Kari (Chris) Hamilton; three step grandchildren Michelle Cloyd, Todd Colleen and Jamie Lazell; two great grandchildren Caleb Hamilton and Hadley Card and 7 step great grandchildren; two special nephews Stacy (Jacinda) Hearnley and Chad (Maridith) Hearnley; one son in law Albert King. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her daughter Carolyn King, two sisters Carol (Stacy) Hearnley and Evelyn Layton, also two great grandchildren Garrett and Gavin Card. Shirley enjoyed playing Bunko, she loved to read and listen to Country music. She was the head school cook at Danville High School for many years. Watching the birds doing word searches where things she also enjoyed. Most of all spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren was what made her the happiest. A Celebration of Shirleys life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville on Monday March 2, 2015 at 6:00 pm. Pastor Miles Clark will be officiating.
