Shirley Ann Sherwood w/pic Oakwood Shirley Ann Sherwood born July 20, 1941 in Fairmount, Ill, to Hershel Lee and Catherine Louise (Baker) Pierce, passed away July 5, 2015 in Danville. Shirley enjoyed traveling, playing cards, gardening, camping, collecting dolls, crocheting, puzzles, and word searches. She loved country music, dancing, and Pepsi. Shirley especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her dear children, Catherine (Dwayne) High, Victoria (Todd) Watson, Sheila (John) Smiley, Charles (Joy) Prunkard; her loving grandchildren, Anthony High, Nicholas (Brittney) High, Kayla (Brendan) Reed, Cody (Kristina) Watson, Dustin (Mandy) Claypool , Zachary (Renee) Claypool, JoAnn (Norman) Berry, Parker Claypool, Christopher Prunkard, and Shawn Prunkard; her dear great grandchildren, Allie, Isaac, and Cailynn; her siblings, Richard (Joy) Pierce and Janet (Jerry Heathcock) Longest. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Catherine Pierce. A Celebration of Shirley's life will start with a visitation from 5 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 7 and her service 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, with Pastor James Hopper officiating at Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 N.
