Cayuga, Ind. -- Shirley Ann Craft, 69, of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away at 7:15 a.m. EDT Saturday, October 4, 2008 at her residence in Cayuga. She had been in failing health for the past three years. Shirley was born November 19, 1938 in Cayuga, Indiana, the daughter of Bernard and Nellie(Peterson)Williams. She married Frank Craft on February 19, 1955 in Cayuga, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Larry(Brenda)Craft and Norman Craft both of Cayuga, Indiana; two daughters, Kim Craft of Danville, Illinois and Julie Craft of Cayuga, Indiana; her mother, Nellie H. Palmer of Tucson, Arizona; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Betty B. Melvin of Danville, Illinois; one brother, Billie Lee Williams of Danville, Illinois; two half sisters, Cheryl Williams of Eugene, Indiana and Brenda Williams of Cayuga, Indiana. Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Bernard L. Williams on February 3, 1996 and one daughter, Lavona Sue Craft on February 3, 1957. Shirley worked at Steel Grip in Danville, Illinos for ten years. She and Frank ran a Flea Market business for fifteen years. She enjoyed the flea market, meeting and talking to all types of people, playing poker with family members and pushing the buttons on the poker machine. Her most favorite pastime was playing Yahtzee. Cremation was requested. A Celebration of the life of Shirley Craft will be held at 4 p.m. EDT Friday, October 10, 2008 at the Cayuga American Legion, 922 West Ferry Street, Cayuga, Indiana, with Memorial Services by the Cayuga American Legion Auxiliary.
