Sheryl K. Pawlak

Sheryl K. Pawlak, 73, of Champaign, IL passed away at Carle Foundation Hospital on February 5, 2026 at 2:23 PM.

Sheryl was born on November 20, 1952 the daughter of John and Janice (Reed) Rebmann in Danville, IL. She married Victor J. Pawlak on June 1, 1974 in Muncie, IL and he survives.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Victor J. Pawlak of Champaign, IL, three children, Kevin Pawlak of Champaign, IL, Dannielle Pawlak of Champaign, IL and Tommy (Tara) Pawlak of Mahomet, IL, six grandchildren, Paolo, Thevin, Josh, Kiarra, Kalan and Tallen as well as five great grandchildren and four siblings, Vicki (Drew) Rush, Cathy (Tom) Hendricks, Mike (Nancy) Rebmann and David (Liz) Rebmann.

Sheryl is preceded in death by her parents, her bonus daughter, Tabby Milby, and one brother, Jim Rebmann.

Sheryl graduated from DACC and attended Eastern Illinois University. She retired from Caterpillar where she worked in the Human Resources Department for many years. Sheryl was an avid reader, loved dragons and reading about them, and enjoyed spending her free time crocheting, knitting, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL.

Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be made in Sheryl’s memory to the Humane Society as she loved all animals.
