Tilton - Sheryl Ann Kinney, 70, of Tilton passed away at 12:03 pm on Tuesday May 2, 2017 at Presence United Medical Center in Danville, IL Sheryl was born on July 20, 1946 the daughter of Roy W. and A. Williamine (Evans) Miller. Sheryl married Richard E. Kinney on January 15, 1966 in Danville and he survives. Survivors include her husband, Richard, one son, Richard Troy (Katy) Kinney of Lenexa, KS, one daughter, Tisha (Tim) Craghead of Indianapolis, IN, five brothers, Arlyn (Alice) Miller of Danville, IL, David (Ella) Miller of Catlin, IL, Leroy (Cathie) Miller of Georgetown, IL, Rick (Grace) Miller of Danville, IL and Montey Ray (Donica) Miller of Covington, IN, two sisters, Marsha (Curt) Gordon of Georgetown, IL and Christy (Bill) Hoskins of Tilton, IL, two grandchildren, Tiara Craghead of Indianapolis, IN and Tony Kinney of Lenexa, KS, as well as several nieces and nephews. Sheryl is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Deanna Johnson. Sheryl attended the First Assembly of God Church in Danville, IL. She was a very caring and giving person who was known for her infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. She made certain others had what they needed before she ever thought of her own needs. She loved reading her Bible, dancing to her favorite gospel songs, spending time with her family at gatherings and sing-a-longs, and enjoyed a special closeness with her husband. She was also known to be very competitive when playing board games with her two grandchildren, which she worshiped. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the First Assembly of God Church, 428 N Walnut Street Danville, IL. Pastor Ryan Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 PM May 5, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, IL.
