Sherrie E. Laird

Sherrie Laird, 69, of Danville, IL passed away at 12:03 AM on November 6, 2025 at her home in Danville with her family by her side.

Sherrie was born on August 28, 1956 the daughter of William and Shirley (Hansbrough) Le Doux in Danville, IL. She married William Laird on May 17, 1974 in Danville, IL and he survives.

Survivors include her husband, William Laird of Danville, her children, Jason Laird of Cape Coral, FL, and Amanda Rose (Josh) Drude of Danville, IL as well as ten grandchildren, Kyler, Madison, Macey, Grayson, Makinnley, Logan, Gage, Noah, Owen and Evan, one great grandchild, Carter and four siblings, Randy (Kathy) Le Doux, Danny Le Doux, Bradley Le Doux and Anita (Phil) Howie.

Sherrie is preceded in death by her parents and one son, Daniel William Laird.

Sherrie loved taking care of her children and enjoyed going to rummage sales.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Father John Cyr will officiate. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the funeral home.
