Shelly Leanne Henry

Shelly Henry passed from this life at 6:05 AM Sunday Nov. 3 , 2013, at Carle Foundation Hospital, in Urbana. Shelly was born April 3, 1968 to Leland and Cheryl(Oswalt) Black, A close family, with her brother Greg Black. Shelly was married to Steven Henry June 30, 1996. A beloved wife and mother, her daughter Kristin Black, son Matthew Henry, Step-daughter Bethany (Henry) Long and grandson Trey Long, all survive with Shellys legacy in their heart. Shellys family and friends were dear to her. She always went the extra mile to help and guide her loved ones. She worked as a customer service representative at the Ray OHerron Company. A cancer survivor for several years, Shelly was inspiring and determined, actively involved with sporting leagues, and fitness. Compassionately, Shelly loved life and inspired many. A genuine friend, a fun and competitive spirit, Shelly touched many lives. A celebration of the life of Shelly Henry will be held Saturday Nov. 9, 2013, at Sunset Funeral Home, A Life Celebration Home in Danville Illinois. There will be a visitation beginning at 10:00 am, preceding a memorial service to commemorate her life at 1:00 pm. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kurt Sovine. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family , or the Sharon L. Bassett foundation.
