Sheila Bieritz

Sheila D. Bieritz died on Monday, June 20, 2016 after a protracted illness. She was born of a union between Harold and Leona Weller on August 23,1943, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are brothers Harold Jr. and Bill, sisters-in-law Betty and Dorothy, and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her loving husband, Wesley G. Bieritz, whom she married on March 30, 2002; her two sons: Scott Holycross (Stephanie) of Bismarck, Illinois and Marc Holycross (Karen) of Lakeland, Florida; three brothers: Jack Weller (Wanda), Richard Weller (Nadeane), Kenneth Weller (Janet); sister, Karen Drennan; sister-in-law Reva Turner (Clarence); step daughters: Susan Mieras (John), Lynn Bieritz, and Jeannie Posehn (Greg); grandchildren: Jake, Morgan, and Michael; step grandchildren: Sarah, Andrew, and Laurel. Also surviving is a special friend Sue Pollitt, as well as many nieces and nephews. Sheila worked in banking for 34 years; first for Palmer Bank, then for Old National Bank, and most recently for First National Bank of Danville. She was known as an efficient loan preparer and retired in 2010. After retirement she also served as the secretary to the Vermilion County War Museum. Everyone who met Sheila loved her. She was always sincere, caring, and so very wise. She was a super mom, and perhaps even a better grandma. She loved all of her many family members without reservation. She thoroughly enjoyed her beautiful lakeside home and boat rides with her husband and family. An excellent seamstress and a lover of all pets (especially Scarlett) were characteristics that never waned. She also loved decorating her home and helping others decorate as well. She also had an interest in photography. Sheila was a friend to everyone, but most of all, she was a loving wife who brought much joy and contentment to their home. Her husband, family and friends will miss her very much. Cremation rites will take place at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. There will be no services, but a visitation will be held from 3pm-6pm Friday, June 24 at Sunset Funeral Home 3940 North Vermilion St. Danville IL, 61834.
