Sharon V. Cook, 81, of Illiopolis, IL, passed away on April 7, 2019 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL.

She was born on October 12, 1937 in DuQuoin, IL, the daughter of Ralph Eugene and Mildred Pauline Cook.

Sharon will be deeply missed by her lifelong friend Cheryl Lawyer of Illiopolis, IL, her son, Brett Allen Cook of Champaign- Urbana, IL, daughter, Lee Ann Wyer of Georgetown, IL, grandchildren, Jaimee (Robert) Martin of Georgetown, Jesse Wyer of Bloomington, Charles Nevels of Georgetown, Chasitee Nevels of Georgetown, great-grandchildren Robert, Hope, Anna, Ethan, Madeline, Grayson, Gideon and Lena.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ralph Cook.

Sharon grew up in DuQuoin, IL, then later moved to Tuscola, IL where she graduated high school in 1955. After high school she began working as an operator at Tuscola Telephone Company. She later moved to Danville, IL, and worked for Magnavox and Autotron, where the retired. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved her children and grandchildren deeply.

A celebration of Sharons life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville 3940 North Vermillion St. Danville, IL 61834. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Memorials can be made in her name to any charity for the hearing impaired.
