Sharon St. John

Sharon 'Butch' St. John, 83, of Westville, IL, passed away on Thursday March 14, 2024, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Sharon was the daughter of Earl and Dorothy (Furry) Wilson born on January 9, 1941 in Paris, IL. Sharon married Carroll St. John, and they were together until his passing in 2013. Sharon married James Griffin on May 4, 2017.

Sharon is survived by her second husband James Griffin; her children: Bruce (Kerry) St. John and Michelle (Kevin) McGowan; her grandchildren: Kate (Jason) LaPierre, Jacob St. John, Lee Veach, Lacey (James) Youhas, and Kalen (Amy) McGowan; great grandchildren: Micah, Isaiah, Braden, Eliza, Nixie, Davin, Ezekiel, Ezra, Isolde, and Zack; her sister Fonda Radloff; and her step children: Todd (Mo) Griffin, and Paula (Jeff) Griffin-May.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Carroll St. John, a sister Billie Jean Wright, and two brothers-in-law: Bill Wright and John Radloff.

Sharon treasured the time she spent with her family most of all. She also enjoyed being outside, watching birds, and growing flowers and a garden. She enjoyed thrift shopping, going to yard sales, and finding a good deal.

A Celebration of Sharons life will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday March 22, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois, 414 State Street. Reverend Doctor Adam Harmon will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:00 to 1:30 prior to the Celebration. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to Westville Area Fire Protection.
