Sharon Roderick

Sharon Roderick, 68, passed away on January 18, 2010 at her residence in Danville. Sharon was born June 10, 1941 in Danville daughter of Arnold and Nina Youngblood Marxmiller. Survivors include two children: Kelly Roderick and Abby Roderick; brother: David (Cathy) Marxmiller. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George in February of 2006, and infant son Christopher. Sharon was a 59 graduate of Danville High School and graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelors in elementary education. She worked for District 118 for many years teaching at several area schools. Sharon was a loving mother and a dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed painting, singing, and was an avid reader. She was a life member of Central Christian Church in Danville. A Celebration of Sharons Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 22, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL. Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm Friday afternoon at the funeral home. Following the service, a private burial will be at Huffman Cemetery in Bismarck.
