Sharon Renee Mains

Sharon Renee Mains, 65, of Danville, passed this life at 1:42 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at her residence. She was born July 18, 1939 in Crawfordsville, Indiana, the daughter of Albert Austin and Zana Eleanor (Pogue) Hinton. She married Michael Earl Mains on January 27, 1963 in Newtown, Indiana. Sharon is survived by: her husband of over 41 years, Michael Earl Mains of Danville; her mother- Zana Eleanor (Bus) Hinton - Alward of Danville; 2 Daughters- Tina R. (David) Ammermann of Danville and Tonya Mains of Indianapolis, IN; 1 Son- Travis Michael (Debbi) Mains of Danville; 3 Grandchildren- Tyler David Ammermann, Morgan Elizabeth Mains and McKenzie Erin Mains; 2 Step-Grandchildren- Jordan Elizabeth Anderson and Austin Michael Anderson; 1 Brother- David Marcus (Dinah) Hinton of Vero Beach, FL; 1 Sister-in-law- Nancy K. Mains of Decatur; her mother-in-law- Gladys Juanita Mains of Danville; 2 Nephews- Ryan (Rebecca) Hinton of New Orleans, LA and John A. Mains of Atlanta, GA. Her father- Albert Austin Hinton and father-in-law-Harley Earl Mains preceded her in death. Sharon graduated from Richland Township High School in 1957. She attended Lakeview School of Nursing, graduating as an R.N. in 1962. She was a member of Bismarck First Church of Christ since 1971, where she was very active in all facets of church life. She was involved with 4-H Club, Cub Scouts and played a very active part in all her children's lives. Sharon was always very active and enjoyed life to it's fullest. She loved to travel, and traveled extensively along with her husband. She enjoyed the outdoors, animals, gardening, and sewing and will always be remembered for her cooking. She also very much enjoyed spending summers in Wisconsin and winters in Arizona with her husband.
