Sharon Lee Makemson

Sharon Lee Makemson 62, of Danville passed away at 1:01 p.m. Thursday June 29, 2006 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born June 19, 1944 in Danville the daughter of Howard and Mildred Owens Meeker. Sharon married Bart Makemson on November 9, 1968 in Danville he survives, also one son; Joseph (Jenny) Makemson of Danville a daughter; Shelley (Tomme) Reitsma of Danville, two brothers; Harold (June) Kinney of Danville, John Heath of Jacksonville, Il, three sisters Mary Lappin of Bismarck, Rose (Robert) Carter of Catlin, Daisy Woodard of Danville, five grandchildren Joshua, Jacob, Montana, Harley and Chelsey. She was preceded by her parents, two brothers and one sister. In Sharons younger days she worked at Lakeview Hospital in the cafeteria, secretary for Dr Brandenberger and Halls Freight Lines in Danville. She later worked at General Electric in Danville. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and sewing, painting and crafts, playing the piano, baking and canning. Sharon loved family get-togethers and holidays, spending time with her grandkids and gospel music. A celebration of life funeral service for Sharon will be 2:00 p.m. Monday July 3, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Officiating will be Pastor Ron Ingram. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday July 2, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Blount Township.
