Sharon K. Gill

Sharon K. Gill, 74, of Westville, passed away at 2:34pm, Saturday, September 24, 2016, at her home. She was born on October 27, 1941, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Fred C. and Mary Jane {Cram}Snively. She was united in marriage to Cornelius "Neil" Gill on August 12, 1960, in Catlin. He will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by: her #1 Son, Bradford (Teresa) Gill of Greenville, NC; her grandchildren, Byron Gill of Greenville, NC, & Amber (Matt) Dickson of Greenville, NC; her brother, Michael (Donna) Snively of Valrico, FL; her sisters, Karen (Roland) Carter of Cunningham, TN, & Christy (Bill) Brinkley of Chrisman, IL; her sister-in-law, Debbie Snively of Tell City, IN; several nieces & nephews; and her best friend, Nancy (Dave) Ling of Westville. She was preceded in death by: her parents and her two brothers, Freddy and Morey Snively. Sharon worked for 28 years for Hyster-Yale Co. in Danville. She loved shopping for bargains and she knew how to stretch a dollar. She enjoyed collecting roosters. She loved her Yorkies, Benji & Noah. She was known to her family as the best wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and she loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at 1:30pm, Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville, IL, with Ryan Harris officiating. Visitation will be held at 11:00am - 1:30pm, Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at the funeral home prior to her service. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Mausoleum, Danville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her name to Parkinson's Research or Alzheimer's & Dementia Research.
