Sharon K. Ford

Sharon K. Ford, 71, of Danville, passed away at her home surrounded by family at 11:19am, Monday, May 21, 2018. She was born on December 26, 1946, in Danville the daughter of Woodrow and Nina {Guilliams} Harrier, both preceded her death. She was wed to Robert Ford on August 3, 1968. He survives. She is also survived by: her brother, Richard Dale Harrier; her sister, Clara (Donnie) Thornton; and many nieces & nephews. Sharon also leaves behind numerous good friends whom she loved. Sharon graduated from Georgetown High school. She worked for General Electric for 28 years. She also worked at Eagles Store in Tilton for five years and then at Walmart for 10 years in the deli. She an animal lover and had 6 cats, a pet turkey and horses, as well as many dogs. She was known to make the "Best Cookies" in Vermilion County and took them everywhere. She will deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A Graveside service will be held at 3:30pm, Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Forest Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in her name to Fairview United Methodist Church or humane society of your choice.
