Sharon Kaye Huffman

Sharon Kaye Huffman, 82, of Danville, IL passed away at 7:00 AM on July 14, 2025 at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman, IL.

Sharon was born on August 2, 1942 in Danville, IL the daughter of Orville and Willinore (Shutt) Hamilton. She was formerly married to Charles O’Neal and Joe Huffman and later spent over 21 years with the love of her life and companion, Lou Meier.

Survivors include her children, Laura Perry of Oakwood, IL, Heather (Jeff) Massey of Kansas City, MO, Michelle (Joe) McClintok of Maumelle, AR, and Tony (Faith) Huffman of Catlin, IL. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one brother, W. James (Barb) Hamilton of Monticello, IN and one niece.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Tommy Lee Hume, her former spouse, Charles O’Neal as well as her companion, Lou Meier.

Sharon taught ballet and tap dance as well as the accordion. She enjoyed playing the piano, fishing, mushroom hunting, and watching the Chicago Cubs. She had a great love for her cats and also loved horses.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion Street, Danville, Illinois 61834. Pastor Dave Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 9-11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Sharon’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
