Sharon Sue (Allison) Boes passed peacefully with friends and family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer on July 31, 2014. She married Charles Reanis Boes on June 13, 1969 in Normal, IL. Charles passed away January 22, 2007. She is survived by step-granddaughter, Mary Lorraine (Chuck) Stelter; great granddaughter, Kaity Stelter; step grandson, Charles William Boes; daughter-in-law, Winifred Guyla Boes; sisters-in-law, Virginia Boes, Terre Haute, IN; Julia Pilant of Jacksonville, IN; Beaulah (Don) Clingerman of Ft. Meyers, Florida; Mildred Boes of Bloomington, IN; and special friends Dorothy (Dot) Carpenter and Ken and Diane Krage and family. She is also survived by two nephews, Brady (Anna) Allison of Henning, IL and Kevin (Kim) Allison of Louisville, KY; great nieces, Kaylyn and Kolleen Allison; great nephew, Cooper Allison, sister-in-law, Nancy Allison of Danville; two aunts, Frannie Allison of Virginia and Shirley (Bill) Lucas of Danville; one uncle, Keith Goodner of Danville and was beloved by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Gene M. and Helen Elizabeth (McCarley) Allison; paternal grandparents, Bertha (Michael) and Arthur Allison; maternal grandparents, Hazel Fern (Fravell) and Clarence A. McCarley; brother, Robert M. Allison; stepson, Charles Boes; uncles, Gene and Lynn McCarley and Arthur W. Allison; Aunt Zelda Siddons; and Aunt Doris Goodner. Sharon was born June 21, 1946 in Danville, IL. She graduated from Henning Grade School and Bismarck High School in 1964 with perfect attendance. She graduated from Illinois State University with a B.S. in Business Education in 1969. She was a member of Henning Church of Christ and attended Crossroads Christian Church. She was a member of Henning Civics Club, New Horizon Breast Cancer Support, Third Wednesday Ladies Lunch group, and Henning Senior Citizens. She worked at State Farm in Normal, IL and was a local 4-H leader, a homemaker, and a loving and devoted caregiver of many friends and family members. She enjoyed camping, horses, traveling and spending time with friends and family. She loved playing cards, games, bingo and was very skillful and often won. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends. A Celebration of Sharons life will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, August 4, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Danville, with Miles Clark officiating. Visitation will be held 5:00 pm-7:00 pm, Sunday, August 3, 2014. She will be laid to rest in Gundy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Danville Carle Oncology Department, 2300 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, IL 61832; New Horizon Breast Cancer Support Group, Provena Regional Cancer Center, 806 N. Logan Street, Danville, IL 61832; Fair Hope Childrens Ministry, 911 North Bowman, Danville, IL or any charity of donors choosing.
