Sharon A. Conrad

Newport, Ind. - Sharon A. Conrad, 78, of Newport, passed away at 9:27 a.m. EDT Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

She was born April 22, 1939 in Brownsburg, Indiana the daughter of the late Paul Albert and Ruth Alice (Fisher) Land.

She married Edwin C. Conrad on June 7,1958 in Cedar Lake, Indiana. He survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Cindy (Kevin) Collins of Newport, Indiana; one son, Edwin (Sheila) Conrad II of Danville, Indiana; three grandchildren, Amanda Strader; Shawn Conrad and Justin Conrad; four great grandchildren and one brother, David E. (Ruby) Land of Kingman, Indiana.

Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Land.

Sharon was a homemaker. She attended the Newport United Methodist Church. Sharon enjoyed traveling with her husband to Florida and watching the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana University Basketball teams. She was also a big fan of figure skating. Sharon especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
