Sharolyn M. Erwin

Sharolyn (Sherry) M. Erwin, 73, of Oakwood passed away at 11:05am on Thursday November 16, 2017. Sherry was born in Danville, IL, on May 19, 1944 the daughter of Earl and Marjorie Macy. On April 5, 1986 Sherry married the love of her life Ronald L. Erwin and they spent the next 29 years together before his passing in 2015. Sherry is survived by her daughter, Ann Richards; son, Randy (Tina) Sollars; step-son Ronnie (Missy) Erwin Jr.; brothers, Tony Casey, Pat (Beth) Casey, Frank (Tammie) Casey; grandchildren, Chad (Nicki) Sollars, Tyler Bradfield, Cody (Miranda) Sollars, Amber Richards, Macy Richards; and great-grandchildren, Zander Hughes, Tucker Sollars, Stella Ward and Timothy Bradfield. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and step-daughter, Tami Erwin. Sherry as a graduate of Schlarman Academy and later became a secretary for the states attorney's office where she retired after working over 20 years. She always enjoyed taking trips to Vegas with Ron and in her spare time she liked to read and watch gameshows. She also loved spending time with her family and her two dogs, Toby and Gabby. The family would like to give a special thanks to Missy Reisinger for all the care she has given to Sherry. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday November 21, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church 444 E Main St, Danville. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Monday November 20, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Homes and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion Danville.
