Shannon M. Bishop

Shannon M. Bishop, 37, of Sidell, passed away at 10:19pm, Sunday, February 26, 2017, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on May 21, 1979 the daughter of Bradley and Marsha {Moore} Prunkard. She was united in marriage to Todd R. Bishop on February 14, 2015, in Newman, IL. He will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by: her father, Bradley (Barb) Prunkard of Sidell; her son, Dakota Bishop and daughter, Oliva Bishop, both of Sidell; her brother, Brandon (Angie) Prunkard of Indianola; her sisters, Hanna (Justin) Merritt of Sidell and Kimberly (fianc, David Browne) Prunkard of Sidell; her mother-in-law & father-in-law, Ruth & Larry Bishop of Vermilion Grove; and several close friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marsha Jefferies, and her grandparents. Shannon had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. She enjoyed crafts and loved music & singing. She was known to many as a very giving person and loved her dogs. She cherished the time spent with her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of Shannon's life will be held at 6:00pm, Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, with Tim Pearman officiating. Visitation will be held 3pm to 6pm on Wednesday prior to her service at the funeral home. As per her wishes, she will be cremated. Memorial donations may be given to her family.
