Shane Kelley,56, of Georgetown, Illinois, born on January 18, 1970, in Danville, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on May 10, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A dedicated truck driver by profession, Shane was known for his unwavering love of people and relationships, a quality that endeared him to all who knew him.

Shane’s life was marked not only by his career but also by his deep passions and interests. He cherished hunting and fishing, enjoyed taking vacations. He found great joy in spending time with friends and family, and work family. Sports were a significant part of his life; he was a devoted follower of the Chicago Bears and Cubs. Shane’s warmth and enthusiasm created a lasting impact on everyone around him.

A proud graduate of Georgetown High School, Shane lived a life grounded in strong values and genuine connections. He was a loving husband to Lisa (Stark) Kelley for over 36 years and a devoted father to BreeAnn (Jonathan) Brumfield, Tanner (Malia) Kelley, Sam (Jaiden Stelzer) Kelley, and Max Kelley. He was a cherished grandfather to Ty and Ava Brumfield, as well as Kasen, Kannon, and Kalaya Kelley. Shane’s family also included his father, Michael Kelley, and his brother, Todd Kelley. He was blessed with the support of his mother-in-law, Lula Stark. Sister-in-laws; Sherry (Brent) Scott, Shelia (Greg) Burton, and Teresa (Jake) Biggs, nieces; Kyra Burton, Kasey Burton, Shelby (Clayton) Buchanan, Tayhlor (Reese) Hughes, and Brylee Hughes, Lyndi Kelley nephews; Brison (Madison) Scott, Brandon (Anna) Scott, Chett (Taylor) Scott, Austin (Madison) Burton, Devon (Conner) Burton, Dylan (Shelby) Hughes, Ross Kelley, and many great nieces and nephews, and many close friends.

Shane was preceded in death by his mother, Patty Kelley, and his father-in-law, Charlie Stark.

A Celebration of Shane's life will be held on May 17, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 3:30 PM at The Stor, located at 102 North Sandusky Street in Catlin, Illinois, 61817. Following the Celebration, a memorial service will take place at the same location at 3:30 PM. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Centers Houghton-Leasure Chapel in Georgetown, Illinois, assisted the family during this hard time.
