Selena Marie Swick

Selena Marie Swick passed away on July 19, 2018 in the home of her daughter Cindy Glines, of West Jordan, Utah. Marie suffered a stroke and passed away six days later. Marie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Marie had three children: Debra (David) Huron of State Line, Indiana, Cynthia (Lee) Glines of West Jordan, Utah, and Timothy Swick, of Danville, Illinois. Debbie and Cindy survive Marie while Tim passed away on December 9, 2017. Marie loved to crochet and was an excellent cook. She worked throughout her adult life, enjoying a rewarding career as a professional office worker. As a young adult, she danced for the USO. In addition to her daughters Debbie and Cindy, Marie is survived by her sister Myrtis (Al) Wilson, ten grandchildren: Don (Margaret) Black, Amy Jo (Darrin) Freed, Steven (Crystal) Black, Michael Black, Jacob (Sarah) Glines, Jennifer (Matt) Curry, Aaron Glines, Katie (Brian) Simons, Ashley (Robert) Henrie, and Becci Glines; 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her parents Walter Cecil and Lelia Hodges, husband Walter Swick, son Timothy Swick, one sister and three brothers, and great-granddaughter Brielle Henrie. In honor of her life, there will be visitation on Friday, July 27 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 North Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 28 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
