Scott A. Ricketts, 42, of Williamsport, passed away on October 4, 2025 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was born on January 3, 1983 in Danville Illinois, a son to the late Caryn {Nose}and Danny Ricketts, Sr. He attended Westville High School growing up.
A devoted semi-truck driver for Ireland Trucking Company, Scott relished the open road, where every mile was an adventure waiting to unfold. He embodied a child-like spirit that resonated with those who knew him, as he often remarked about his desire to never truly grow up. Scott's unwavering loyalty as an avid Chicago Bears fan was met with the same passion and enthusiasm he brought to every aspect of his life. He fostered unforgettable memories during family get-togethers, where laughter filled the air around bonfires and cookouts. There was something truly special about the way he played with his grandchildren; in those moments, he radiated pure happiness, a true testament to the love he shared with his family. In his leisure time, Scott found joy in mowing his grass—a task he undertook with dedication—and listening to music at volumes that could rattle the windows. He was proud of his extensive collection of shoes and hats that showcased his unique style.
Scott is survived by his wife Amanda Ricketts; his children Kayde (Zack) Ricketts, Dillon Ricketts, Madison (Kane) Ricketts, and Trinity Ricketts; the mother of three of his children, Amanda Brady; and 8 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Jennifer (Jeff) Horn, Teresa Ricketts, Brandi (Gary) Truax, Jerry (Jessica) Ricketts, and Jessica Ricketts; his cousin Shawn Carter, who was more like a brother to him; his in-laws Karen and Gerald Cole; and many nieces and nephews. His dog Aleu and cat Sassy will also miss their best friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his grandmother Thelma Ricketts, uncle Jeff Ricketts, and his grandchild Riley Ricketts.
Per Scott’s wishes, cremation will take place with a memorial service to celebrate his life in the near future.
