Danville – Scott Alan Richardson, 58, of Danville, died on January 16, 2025 at his home. He was born July 2, 1966 in Danville, IL, the son of the late Ruth (Smith) Richardson and Billy Dean Richardson, Sr. He was a 1984 graduate of Bismarck-Henning High School.

He is survived by his father, Billy Dean Richardson, Sr.; a sister, Teresa Marie (Richardson) Santos; a brother, Steven Wayne (Teresa Anne) Richardson; a sister-in-law Brenda Lee (Wilson) Richardson; a son-in-law Eric Paul Bowers; best friends Danny Morris and Donnie Steele, Jr., as well as several other friends; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, Laura Marie, Cassandra LeAnne, Chirstopher Travis, CarrieAnne Mae, Emily Anne, MyLee Anne, Kortnee Marie, Heather Marie, Steven Ray, Christina Louise, Tom Paul, and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth (Smith) Richardson; maternal grandmother Vella Pearl (Rox) Smith and maternal grandfather Joseph Edward Calvin Smith; fraternal grandparents George Sylvester Richardson and Alice Marie (Mitchell) Richardson; a brother Billy Dean Richardson, Jr.; a sister Tina Louise (Richardson) Bowers.

Scott loved his dogs Daisy, Misty, and Maggie. He was a black belt in taekwondo and also enjoyed Jiu Jitsu and Judo. Scott loved listening to music and watching TV and movies, especially John Wayne and other Westerns, as well as Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Jackie Chan, and Steven Seagal Karate movies. He liked to spend time with his family, friends, and dogs. Scott was also a talented cook.

He was the best son, brother, friend, cousin, and uncle anybody could ever ask for. We will all miss him greatly, but we know he is in Heaven now with God, Jesus, and the Angels and one day we will get to see him again. We loved Scott with all of our hearts.

Per Scott’s wishes, there will be no services. Cremation has been entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Please remember him and say some prayers for us, the family and friends.
