Scott A. Brooks

Scott A. Brooks, 55, of Danville, passed away at 9:45 PM on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. Scott was born in Danville on July 28, 1956 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don G. Brooks. He is survived by one son- Bradley Brooks of Williamsport, IN, one daughter- Abby (Adam Friederich) Brooks of Champaign, one brother- Curt Brooks of Lodi, CA, two sisters- Janet (Ron) Brownfield of Decatur, IL, Linda Pillivant of Niles, MI and one granddaughter to be- baby London. He was preceded in death by his mother- Shirley (Pierce) Brooks, grandparents- Mr. and Mrs. Emery Brooks and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baldwin. Scott graduated from Danville High and began work at General Motors. He then worked for JP Motors Inc. as a car salesman for most of his life. He enjoyed golf, cooking and working around the house. A memorial service for Scott will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville with Pastor James Blue officiating. A visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM on Wednesday before the service. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park at a later date.
