WESTVILLE- Scarlett Kielich, 63, of Westville, passed away at 7:30am on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Mrs. Kielich was born on November 5, 1942, in Westville, the daughter of Eugene and Marjorie (Hart) Nigra. On August 16, 1962, Scarlett married Joseph Kielich in Danville. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2000. Scarlett leaves behind: her mother, Marjorie Nigra of Westville; her two daughters, Crystal Lynn (Bub) Gummere and Jan Ellen (Greg) Petticrew, both of Westville; her three grandchildren, Joseph Dean Petticrew, Steven Wayne Petticrew, and Morgan Renee Gummere, all of Westville; her sister, Robin Wright of Westville; her brother, Gene Nigra of Westville; her five sisters-in-law, Iris Kielich of Westville, Helen Patterson of Westville, Julia Malivuk of Danville, Louise Miller of Danville, and Genevieve Ksiazek of Chicago, IL. She is preceded in death by her father. Scarlett was an active member with the St. Marys Catholic Church in Westville. She attended Westville High School. Scarlett was a hairdresser for the past 46 years, in which she enjoyed doing hair at the Vermilion House. She also enjoyed playing cards, walking, and riding her bike. Most of all, she enjoyed the time she spent with her kids and grandchildren. A celebration of Scarletts life will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel located at 414 S. State St. in Westville. She will be laid to rest in St. Peter and Pauls Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm on Wednesday before the service at the funeral home.
