Saundra Kay Cox

Saundra Kay (Peavler) Cox, 75 of Georgetown, IL passed away peacefully in her home on 9/2/18 surrounded by her family. Saundra was born in Danville, IL June 4, 1943 to Harry Vernon and Edna Catherine (Howell) Peavler. On September 1, 1962 she married Larry Joe Cox in Danville, IL. Saundra was a respected member of the community, a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandma and great grandma. She is survived by her husband Joe of 56 years. Four children, Randy (Sandra) Cox of Springdale, AR, Penny Cox of Everton, MO, Timothy (Valerie) Cox of Lafayette, IN and Angela (Daniel) Burmeister of Normal, IL. Thirteen grandchildren, Jessica Bull, Stephanie Bennett, Michael Cox, Christi McCuiston, Aston Cox, Shelby Cox, Desi Pucci, Jeremy Cox, Kelsay Cox, Joshua Cox, Sydney Burmeister, Shelby Burmeister and Nathan Burmeister. Four great-grandchildren, Hunter Bull, Arlen Bull, Gunnarr McCuiston and Melody Cox. Three brothers, Ronald (Susan) Peavler of Prescott, Iowa, Robert (Joyce) Peavler of Danville, IL and Jed (Beverly) Peavler of Prescott, Iowa. Many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Catherine Marquita Roberts. A celebration of life memorial service for Saundra will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville.
